LSAMP Summer Research Experience

LSAMP at IU Bloomington is faculty-mentored summer research program. Student scholars are paid and receive housing and meal plans for the duration of the program. LSAMP students become part of a vibrant research community and have access to perks like travel support.

The goal of LSAMP is to increase the number of underrepresented minority students graduating from IU with STEM degrees.

Notice: Status of Undergraduate Research Office

In response to the campus plan issued by IU President Michael McRobbie regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and with the safety and well-being of students and others in mind, the IU Undergraduate Research office has moved online until further notice. IUUR staff can be contacted at

Please also note that research opportunities for undergraduate students are limited at this time as a result of campus safety measures.  We are working closely with faculty to identify both remote and on-campus opportunities. We encourage interested students to explore our website, sign-up for our newsletter, and/or email us for help in finding research opportunities.
